Any advice on things to try would be greatly appreciated. It was a little better but it still took a long time. I did have them copy a file to their desktop and try it from there. They are working on files that are on a network drive. You cant do anything else until it finishes. However, the program freezes up and takes a very long time. I have looked at all the processes running through the task manager and the CPU, memory, and graphics card usually don't go over 25%. Just working on one and generating the tool path can take up to 7 min or longer. Usually the process is pretty quick but they have some files that have over 3k surfaces. I did research on components before we purchased these computers a couple years ago but they are very slow sometimes. We are using Mastercam for Solidworks and it is an add-in for Solidworks. Note: Mastercam and Mastercam for SOLIDWORKS must be shut down for the update to install properly.Hello, we are having issues with computers taking a very long time to generate tool paths. O Start 2017 and select Update Mastercam from the Help menu. O Manually check for updates from the Windows Start menu – Start > Mastercam 2017 or Mastercam 2017 for SOLIDWORKS> Check for Updates and then follow the instructions. Click on this to activate the Update Manager. O Start 2017 and a Mastercam update bubble will show in the lower right of your screen in the system tray area.
